Privacy Policy

Nothing reaches us from this site. It is a set of static files: no server-side code, no database, no login and no comment system. There is nowhere for your data to go on our side, because there is nothing of ours running to receive it.

The custom automation page has a form, and it is worth being precise about what it does. It does not send anything to this site. It assembles what you typed into an email in your own mail app, addressed to hello@kettleford.com, and nothing leaves your computer until you press send there. From that point it is an ordinary email to us, held in our mailbox for as long as the conversation about your request needs it and deleted when it does not.

That is not the same as saying no data exists anywhere. Serving a web page at all involves the host handling your IP address, and section 3 says what our host does with it. We would rather draw that distinction ourselves than have you find it.

This website sets no cookies. Not analytics cookies, not preference cookies, not strictly necessary ones. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to ask you to consent to.

There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no heatmap tool and no A/B testing script. Fonts are served from this domain rather than from Google Fonts, so loading a page here does not tell anyone else that you did.

The newsletter signup and every buy button are ordinary links to Kit on a different domain. They are links, not embeds, which is a deliberate choice: an embedded Kit form would set Kit's cookies on this domain and this section would no longer be true.

Once you follow a link to Kit, you are on Kit's site and their privacy policy applies.

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes the technical information needed to serve a page, including IP addresses, as part of delivering and protecting the service. We do not have access to per-visitor logs and we do not request them.

Vercel offers its own analytics and speed monitoring products. Neither is enabled. If either is ever switched on, it collects visitor data and the section above about cookies stops being true, so this policy would be updated before that happened rather than after.

Purchases are handled entirely by Kit, which processes payments through Stripe. Neither the payment form nor your card details ever touch this website.

Kit collects your email address and the information needed to complete the sale, including your country for tax purposes. Stripe processes the payment itself and receives your card details directly. We never see your full card number.

What we can see, in the Kit dashboard, is your email address, what you bought, when, the amount, and the country used for tax. We use that to send you the product, to answer support emails, to issue refunds, and to send you new packs if you bought The Vault.

We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone other than Kit and Stripe, who need it to complete the sale.

If you sign up, Kit holds your email address and sends you the emails. Every one carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately, and we do not add buyers to the list without asking.

If you are in the EU or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to receive a copy of it, and to object to how it is used. We will act on any of those.

Email hello@kettleford.com. We will reply within one month, which is the statutory limit, and normally much sooner.

The lawful basis for holding your purchase record is performance of a contract, because we cannot sell you a file and then support it without knowing who you are. The lawful basis for the newsletter is consent, which you gave by signing up and can withdraw by unsubscribing.

We keep purchase records for as long as tax law requires, then delete them.

The seller is an individual based in the United States. Vercel, which hosts this site, and Kit and Stripe, which handle the sale, are all United States companies. Visiting this site and buying from us therefore both involve your data being processed outside the EEA and the UK.

Kit and Stripe each publish their own transfer safeguards and privacy policies, and both are used by very large numbers of EU and UK businesses for exactly this purpose. If that is not acceptable to you, the honest answer is not to buy, and we would rather say so plainly than bury it.

If this changes, the effective date at the top changes with it. The most likely reason for a change is adding something to the site that does set a cookie, and if that ever happens this page will say so before it happens rather than afterwards.
